There are several types of incidents that classify what type of job brigade respond to. They are


Grass - Any fire involving an area of grass alight.

Bush - Any fire involving an area of bush and grass alight.

Structure - A fire involving a residential, commercial or industrial building

Hazmat - The RFS provides operational support to the NSWFB for hazardous materials incidents

MVA/Transport - Any incident involving a motorvehicle or transport vehicle. This can include vehicle fires.

Aircraft Incident - Any incident where an airport or an aircraft is involved. Commonly aircraft with stuck landing gears.

Train Incident - Accidents/incidents involving a railway, train, or rolling stock
