The members of the Illawong Rural Fire brigade would like to pass on our most sincere thanks to the communities of Illawong, Alfords Point and Menai who have generously donated to us during the period of our Santa Runs.

The reason that we walk around the suburbs with Santa every year is to bring some joy to the kids in our area but the generosity shown by the community is astounding.

The money donated to us provides us with the funds to purchase the extra equipment that makes our tasks easier and safer. We also purchase essential supplies such as bottled water and cleaning equipment with the money provided. This year we are aiming to improve the fire station with a mezzanine floor above our amenities for storage. This will give us a place to store the Christmas decorations for the trucks and fire station that we get so many compliments about.

Thanks again to everyone that put something in the bucket for us this Christmas and to those that gave us so many compliments. You make the time we give worthwhile.
